Saint Agnes Medical Center and Clovis Community Medical Center are fully staffed acute care hospitals with extensive experience and skill in caring for morbidly obese individuals. Both hospitals have each had over 7,000 bariatric operations performed on their premises and have dedicated nursing units, multidisciplinary bariatric teams and excellent Anesthesiologists who are both experienced and comfortable in airway management and all aspects of anesthesiology in extremely obese patients. Both Drs. Swartz and Felix have been extensively involved in the creation and management of these teams of caregivers to permit a seamless transition of continued care from pre-operative to in-hospital care and back to outpatient office care.
