We perform surgery at our affiliated Center of Excellence (see above) and Blue Cross/Blue Shield Centers of Expertise hospital: Clovis Community Medical Center. CCMC is a fully-staffed acute care hospital with extensive experience and skill in caring for morbidly obese individuals. Over 10,000 bariatric operations have been performed there and the hospital has a dedicated nursing unit, multidisciplinary bariatric team and excellent Anesthesiologists who are both experienced and comfortable in airway management and all aspects of anesthesiology in extremely obese patients. Both Drs. Swartz and Felix have been extensively involved in the creation and management of these teams of caregivers to permit a seamless transition of continued care from pre-operative to in-hospital care and back to outpatient office care. Our office staff can arrange hospital tours for interested patients and the you may select the hospital for your surgery.
